2015 Aralık ayında, her yıl olduğu gibi markalar yılbaşı için özel üretim olan ürünlerini piyasaya sürdüler. Mac'in bu yılki yılbaşı koleksiyonu epey ilgi topladı. Amerika'da başta olmak üzere dünyanın birçok yerinde hızlıca tükenen Mac Oh Darling aydınlatıcı ve kardeşi diyebileceğimiz Mac Shaft of Gold Türkiye'de ise tereddütlerle karşılandı. Tereddütlerin başlıca sebebi, özellikle aydınlatıcı severlerin ilgi alanına giren Oh Darling'in, oldukça altın sarısı görünmesiydi. Shaft of Gold ise, belli koleksiyonseverler hariç, kullanıcıların ilgi alanına girmedi. Herhangi bir bakır tonlu, simli allık muamelesi gördü. :)

In December 2015, as every year, brands produced limited edition products for this year. Mac's new year collection was also catching the eyes. Firstly in Usa but also around the world, Mac Oh Darling highlighter and its sister Mac Shaft of Gold were sold out quickly. In Turkey, Mac lovers were in doubt. The main reason of the doubts was the yellow, gold color of the highlighter. Except some collectors, no one was interested in Shaft of Gold. It was considered as a basic, sparkling coppertone blush.
Ben de bu ikili konusunda çokça kararsız kaldım, Oh Darling'i defalarca almaya karar verip vazgeçtim. Koleksiyonumu yeni oluşturduğum için, özel üretim olan böyle bir aydınlatıcıyı almak konusunda istekliydim, öte yandan altın sarısı bir aydınlatıcıyı ne kadar kullanabileceğimden herkes gibi emin değildim. Sonunda risk alıp bu aydınlatıcıyı edindim.
I was also in doubt about these two. I decided and gave up many times to buy Oh Darling. As i newly begin to create my collection, i was willing to buy this limited edition product, on the other hand, i was not sure if i was going to use a golden highlighter. Finally i took the risk.
Öncelikle dokusundan bahsetmek istiyorum, tebeşir gibi ya da toz fara benzer bir yapısı yok Oh Darling'in. Oldukça kremsi, kat kat uygulandığında metalik yapısı yüze de aynen transfer olan enteresan bir dokusu var. Bu nedenle yüze yumuşakça yerleşiyor ve kutusunda göründüğünden daha doğal duruyor yüzde.
Firstly i want to mention about its texture, it's not chalky or it's not powdery. It's still creamy when it's builded over and over and it's interesting to see metallic texture on the face. It settles softly on the face and it's not seem as gold as in the box.
The Balm'ın Mary Lou adlı, seveni çok aydınlatıcısını bile sarı bulan biri olarak Mac Oh Darling'in aslında sandığım kadar korkutucu olmadığını, az miktarda uygulandığında ve doğru makyajla kombinlendiğinde kullanışlı olabildiğini düşünüyorum. Göze ışıltı katması için farın üzerine de bir miktar uygulandığında gayet hoş duruyor. Kutudaki kadar altın gözükmesi için defalarca üst üste uygulamak gerekir ki zaten hiçbir kullanıcı bu şekilde uygulamadığı için sorun yok diye düşünebiliriz.
The Balm Mary Lou, which has lots of fans is to me also a very yellowish highlighter, i think Mac Oh Darling is not scary if you take a little and combine wit the right makeup. It also can be used as a highlighter over the eyeshadow for some light. You must use it over and over for create a gold look as in the box that as no user does it. So it's ok with this way.
Bu yıl, pek çok markanın altın renkli aydınlatıcı üretecek olmasının haberleri de hızla yayılıyor. Herhangi bir yerde denk gelirseniz Mac Oh Darling'e bir şans verebilirsiniz. Olmazsa olmaz diyemem, hayatımın aydınlatıcısı da değil :) Ancak ışığı yansıtma becerisi, metalik yapısı nedeniyle gayet başarılı ve Soft and Gentle gibi tebeşirsi bir yapısı olmadığı için hafif uygulamayla kullanılabilecek bir aydınlatıcı.
This year, we hear lots of brand produces gold highlighters. If you find a chance to find Mac Oh Darling in somewhere, i think you can give it a chance. Not a "must have", not "the highlighter of my life" :) But the light reflecting capasity of the product and metallic texture of are pretty succesfull. It can be nice with a slight application, it does not have a chalky texture like Mac Soft and Gentle.
